the long cut

Uncle Tupelo - The Long Cut (pops)

I'm done for the next six weeks or so.

I got done Thursday, where I half-assed a presentation and exempted from the final anyway. I love it when teachers don't really want to be there either.

This morning I went to get a haircut. I also went out and bought a Game Boy Advance, because, darn it, I deserve a treat every now and then. I've been messing with it for most of the day.

I got the Risk/Clue/Battleship cartridge, and I like the Risk most of all. Too bad I can beat the AI in four turns using the Izzard method. (Start in Australia, build up in Indonesia, steamroll through the Middle East into Africa, then go around to the Americas and keep steamrolling. You'll get the continent bonuses from Africa and South America, so you'll be more efficient than just sprawling everywhere.

I also got Pokemon Sapphire.

Done laughing yet?

No?

Okay, quit.

Hey, they're good little strategy games. I suck out loud at Final Fantasy, so this is the only RPG-ish game series I'm decent at. Well, besides an obscure, buggy PC D&D game, but that doesn't really count.

The kittens are being kicked out of their hidey-hole by the mother, so they're now in the middle of the floor and not fast enough to get out of the way. They're still as cute as ever, though, so we put up with it and move them into safe spots.

I think that's about it for the week, really. Again, not that interesting of a life. I guess I'll be back sometime next week, maybe?

fortune faded

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Fortune Faded (pops)

This week has been busy.

Ergo, the first update of the week is on the last day (American calendar).

I've had homework, I've been taking care of kittens, and when I've gone to post something for the past two days, the power's gone out. Fun.

How about we call this week a mulligan, and start again after I get out of school on Friday of next week?

Although that's depressing, because it just hit me that I've only got six weeks after this one before school starts back in the fall. Ouch.

Anyway, bye for now.

living proof

Cat Power - Living Proof (pops)

I now have three EDIT: four kittens.

They are the cutest things ever.

But in about six weeks, they will have to go somewhere else.

I need someone (or someones) to take these cats off of my hands.

Locals only, and a good home is necessary. I realize this excludes a great deal of my skeezy friends, but hey, them's the breaks.

One is tortoiseshell black with gold accents (like the mother), one is tuxedo orange and white, and one is EDIT: two are tuxedo black and white.

I have no clue on the sexes, but I'm guessing two females and one male.

There may be another kitten on the way, but I doubt it. I have no way of checking this, since Tom Cruise got the ultrasound machine banned from home use, so blame him.

Anyway, want a kitten?

over the hills and far away

Led Zeppelin - Over The Hills and Far Away (pops)

I'm fairly tired, so let's keep this brief.

The class sucks, but at least it's going to be short.

I already hate going to the gym, and I've only been once.

The class wouldn't be so bad if we could just get through the book work and be done, but no, we have to do workout labs. Stupid.

I went to the grocery store today, but only because I had to go by the bookstore and buy the new edition of the textbook, not because the book I have is outdated, but because it didn't come with the workbook.

I hate college books.

Anyway, I went to the grocery store and I started to feel my workout from yesterday. I spent forty minutes on the treadmill for lack of anything better to do, plus a few curls and lifts.

Also, the cat hasn't had kittens yet, and if I hadn't personally felt them moving around in there, I'd think that she was faking it to get attention.

So how was your week?

I feel love

Blue Man Group featuring Annette Strean - I Feel Love (pops)

Short version of the day:

School was okay. I know a couple of people in there, and it seems to be a fairly decent class.

The cat is going to have those damn kittens any hour now. Probably tomorrow while I'm at school and the 'rents are at the cardiologist's office.

"The Woodsman", which I watched yesterday, is a really good movie. It may be the most uncomfortable movie ever, just for the way it makes you feel, but a really good movie nonetheless.

I figured out I have a slight case of "venous hum", where I can hear my own heartbeat through my ears. Volume comes and goes, but it's always there. I'm mostly able to ignore it. I've always had it, but now I know there's a name for it. Huzzah!

Long version of the day:

You're not getting a long version. You're lucky you're getting this little bit. You try to appease a pregnant, inconsolable cat for most of the day, plus work in school and making dinner, and still have time to tell stories on the internet.

See you sometime this week, hopefully.

Also, want a kitten?

take me away

Fefe Dobson - Take Me Away (pops)

How is everybody?

Good? Good.

Nothing much to report. I'm simply not that interesting of a person, for the most part.

Today I woke up late, ate a bowl of cereal, and watched four and a half hours of TiVo'd stuff. Granted, two hours of that was the Office mini-marathon from last night, but still.

Then I worked a little on the LuchaWiki, and then I ate lunch.

Finally, I watched a little regular TV and made dinner. Cornflake chicken, if you really want to know.

So I may be the most boring person on the planet. I'm okay with that, I think.

Well, I think that's about it. I may get really busy next week and not have time to write anything. Bear with me. Yes, you, one of my maybe four regular readers.

Actually, I may be pushing it with four. Make yourself known. Stand up and be counted. Let me know if you are a regular reader. I may change how I do things on here soon, and I need feedback.

I won't give away any plans, but think "virtual foosball". Or maybe it was "interactive donkey show". one of those two, probably.
